GENERAL INFORMATION

•  May 31-June 1, 2025, WFKO-WKO World Championship in Tokyo, Japan + WKO Dan-grading
•  September 27-28, EC Adult and Junior J18, Debrecen, Hungary

News from the Referee Committee

COACH PARTICIPATION FEE 40€
The EKO Board have decided to introduce a Coach participation fee. The reason is that the organizer has
expenses for coaches that is hard to cover. A lunch is included.

COACH LICENSE FROM 2025
A formal coach license will be introduced from 2025. The fee will be 25 € and valid for three (3) years.
More information to be in later Newsletter.

COACHES FOR EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP IN KLAIPEDA
All Coaches must be registered in Kumite Technology at 16 Mars as latest. A special Coach meeting before
the draw will be on Thursday 24 April at 17:30-19:00 in hotel (TBD).

COACH TEST NOW COMPULSORY
The EKO Online Coach test is now compulsory to be approved/get a badge to enter the competition as a
coach during the European Championship. The test can be done several times. As a coach you are
requested to pass the test with at least 90% correct answers.

If you have already done the test in 2023 or 2024 you do not need to do it again. If you did it 2022 or
never have done the test you must do it.

Link to Check-In for Coaches will be sent after registration in Kumite Technology 6-7 days before the EC to
make the check-In.

REFEREES FOR EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP IN KLAIPEDA, LITHUANIA
EKO Referee Committee invite A, B and C licensed referees. We also welcome new referees who want to
apply for a C-license. This includes those who want to refresh an old license.

Application must be done in both Kumite Technology and on ekoreferees.eu. on Sunday 16 of Mars
as latest.
Please, apply according to your license if you will be on duty in kumite or kata. Referees who apply to
upgrade or refresh their license are expected to attend the referee course on Thursday 24 April

REFEREE COURSE IN KLAIPEDA; Hotel TBD later

Wednesday 23 April at 15:00-20:00 EKO Referee Committee will have its annual referee course for those
who apply for a new license as well as refresh an old license.
– All documents, rules can be fined on EKO Home Page or at www.ekoreferees.eu
– Participation is to be in referee shirt, bow tie and whistle.

ONLINE REFEREE APPLICATION
1. Registration in both Kumite Technology and at www.ekoreferees.eu on Sunday 16 of Mars as latest.
2. All referees (both those who are taking the course as well as those who comes to the briefing) must
check in online before the Championship. After registration in Kumite Technology and on
www.ekoreferees.eu you will receive a link 6-7 days before the EC to make the check-In.
3. Bring your EKO passport.
